Cage Gear: Joanna Jedrzejczyk Shirt

Joanna Jedrzejczyk Shirt With Eagle Crest

BUY on AMZN: $27.99

Joanna Jedrzejczyk is one the most ferocious fighters in womens MMA history. She spent the first part of her fighting career in Muay Thai where she was a multiple time champion. She has taken her impeccable technique and aggressive style to the UFC and dominated the MMA world.

Fighting in the 115 pound division means that she is one of the smallest people fighting in the UFC. Despite her small frame, she has a monstrous amount of violence ready to be unleashed on her opponents.

BUY on AMZN: Starting at $60

I’m always intrigued by and sometimes try to imitate (however unsuccessfully) the balance between rugged and gentle. Cody Garbrandt’s neck tattoos peeking out from the top of his tailored suits. The mild and gentle nature of a trained killer in GSP. Felice Herrig’s fighter athletic body under her elegant and stylish gowns. An attractive combination of elegance and violence. Now we have one more to add to the list. I noted Kailin Curran recently sporting a Daniel Wellington watch from the Classic Petite line on her instagram.

Cage Gear: GRRRL Clothing

Fight Like A GRRRL

grrrl clothing

GRRRL Clothing seems like a genuine and honest clothing company. They describe themselves to be strong, independent, and borderline aggressive. They celebrate the many different sizes and shapes that women come in and cater their clothing styles and designs to them. They seek to unite women, to re-energize them, and in doing so, give women a bigger say in how things work and how things happen. All for the end goal of making a better world. And frankly I don’t disagree with them.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz (Full Fight)

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz, UFC 205, 12 Nov 2016

joanna jedrzejczyk vs karolina kowalkiewiczJoanna Jedrzejczyk vs Karolina Kowalkiewicz was a phenomenal fight, a contest between technique and toughness. Another attestation to the legitimacy of womens MMA – if there still is any doubt. However before going into the fight, it would be appropriate to reflect on the incredible achievement of the UFC205 event itself.

UFC 205 was a historic and milestone event for many reasons. The achievement of Conor McGregor to hold two championship belts in two different weight divisions at the same time. The remarkable and perhaps record breaking ticket and Pay Per View sales. The ticket prices and participation of fans and audience also shows that MMA is starting to arrive as a main stream sport.

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Claudia Gadelha II (Full Fight)

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Claudia Gadelha II, UFC TUF 23 Finale, 8 July 2016
Fight of the Night

Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Claudia Gadelha IIIn a July weekend full of incredible fights, we have Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Claudia Gadelha II. Personally, this is the fight that I have been looking forward to most. A striker versus grappler match-up between a world-class kick boxer and a tough well-rounded Nova Uniao product.

There has always been doubt in my mind over who won Joanna Jedrzejczyk vs Claudia Gadelha I. Joanna started the fight with a great knockdown in the first round. Then Claudia was able to grapple and take Joanna down for the rest of the fight. Since Joanna won the fight she had the opportunity to fight Carla Esparza for the championship. If Claudia won that fight, she would have gotten the fight against Carla. If she was able to capture the belt from Carla, things would be very different.

Now we get to see the two ladies fight again. Finally to settle who the better fighter is.
