David Branch vs Jesse Taylor

David Branch is an incredible BJJ fighter with a blackbelt under Renzo Gracie. He was previously in the UFC. He was let go after a loss to Rousimar Palhares. His dismissal from the promotion we thought was slightly unfair. Branch had a 2-2 record in the UFC and did not have a series of losses. We do however remember that he suffered a KO slam lost against Gerald Harris. It perhaps is not good to be remembered for that. Jesse Taylor was on The Ultimate Fighter season 7: Rampage vs Forrest. This was the same seasons other incredible fighters such as CB Dollaway, Matt Riddle, Gerald Harris, Tim Credeur, Amir Sadollah, Matt Brown, and (fighter turned nutritionist Mike Dolce. Jesse Taylor was an incredibly talented fighter with a wrestling background and an incredible ground game. He made it all the way to the TUF Finale however due to events that happened after the filming of the show, he was removed from the finale and replaced with CB Dollaway. Jesse Taylor trains out of Team Quest and has wins against notable fighters such as Kendall Grove, Denis Kang, and Murilo Bustamante. He has an incredible amount of experience in MMA and we look forward to seeing the talented Jesse Taylor fight.

Georgi Karakhanyan vs Rick Glenn

Georgi Karakhanyan vs Rick Glenn is a battle between two gyms. Georgi Karakhanyan is a veteran of the sport with fights against Joe Warren, Patricio Freire, and Din Thomas. He has fought in Bellator, King of the Cage, and now World Series of Fighting. He trains out of the SK Golden Boys Wrestling club where Karo Parysian also trains. Rick Glenn is a tall lengthy fighter training out of Roufusport with Erick Koch, Chico Camus, and current UFC Lightwight Champion Anthony Pettis.
We are looking forward to this being an interesting and fun fight given the different backgrounds these fighters have.

Jessica Aguilar vs Emi Fujino

We at Cage Inspiration are incredibly excited about Japanese female fighters. We worshiped Megumi Fujii who is now in retirement. We also like Mika Nagano, and Rin Nakai (although we don’t really get her strange softcore-ish videos). Emi has a loss against Megumi Fujii and a win against Mia Nagano. Japanese female fighters are usually more technical and always willing to fight hard. It is awesome to see more Japanese female fighters on the international MMA platform. Jessica Aguilar is an awesome female MMA fighter. She is a Mexican fighter training out of American Top Team. An incredibly deadly combination. She has recent wins against awesome fighters like Carla Esparza and Lisa Ellis. Jessica Aguilar is also the fighter that retired Megumi Fujii in 2013.

As female MMA goes, they tend to fighter harder and meaner than their male counterparts. Given the incredible MMA background of Emi and Jessica, this fight has the possibility of being an absolute war of attrition.

Luiz Firmino vs Tyson Griffin

We are excited to see Tyson Griffin fight again. The last time we saw him fight was against Gesias Cavalcante at WSOF 4 in August 2013. Tyson Griffin is an absolute legend of the sport with wins against Urijah Faber, Duan Ludwig, Clay Guida, Thiago Tavares, Gleion Tibau…the list goes on. Tyson Griffin joined the UFC in 2006 with a submission of the night (rear-naked choke) win and three subsequent Fight of the Night performances. His fight with Clay Guida was the 2007 Fight of the Year. Tyson Griffin hasn’t been so successful in his recent fights. We are hoping he brings a bit of the old warrior spirit back in this fight against Luiz Firmino. Luiz Firmino offers a good opponent for Tyson Griffin. He trains out of the Blackzillians and has a good amount of MMA experience to bring the fight out of Tyson Griffin.
